To start- the main thing you must have is a poker set.
A good poker set contains: - 1 or 2 decks of cards
- Poker chips- preferably 300 to be safe
- Dealer button

Now lets move on. In poker, the winner of a game is the person with the most powerful card combination.
You should check hands like The royal flush, straight flush,four of a kind, full house,flush, straight, three of a kind,two pair, pair on google. (The hand are ordered by strength- from most powerful to weakest).

A poker player has several usable actions: You can check, fold, call, bet or raise.

Check- You are still in the hand, but you aren't betting.
Fold- You are facing a bet, but you don't want to participate, so you throw away your cards.
Call- It's a bet that matches your opponents bet.
bet- You want to put some money into the pot.
raise- You're facing a bet, but you want to put even more money into the pot (used when having really good cards, or just bluffing).
